Department:
Summer Associate Graduate Intern will work in the Marketing and Communications Division remotely. Navy Federal’s Marketing & Communications Department supports Navy Federal’s members through strategic, brand-focused communications in support of organizational goals and increased awareness of Navy Federal products and services. We are responsible for the protection and evolution of the credit union's brand, driving awareness of membership eligibility, and effectively communicating the value of Navy Federal's products and services. We reach these goals through the use of email, social media and web marketing as well as print pieces, paid media (print, TV, radio and digital) member research and educational content.

Basic Purpose

Summer Associate will identify, analyze, and consult on marketing programs using analytical tools and/or internal resources to recommend solutions to complex business problems that have significant company and/or department impact.

Responsibilities
  • Leads, proactively  identifies and assesses marketing strategies and opportunities to develop appropriate analytical approaches and solutions
  • Develops business case to support findings/recommendations
  • Provides thought leadership for developing marketing attributes (e.g. Audience sizing/targeting, test design and other attributes)
  • Develop and present proposal on findings from analysis and research to management up to and  including senior executives
 
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing Master’s Degree or higher in related field
  • Experience in the application of statistical methods, mathematical techniques, forecasting, cost-benefit analysis and related analytical tools
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills to resolve conflicting requests and obtain concurrence, and motivate stakeholders and senior management
  • Progressive experience developing comprehensive plans to address high level or complex business initiatives
  • Advanced skill interpreting and synthesizing large amounts of information
  • Highly developed communication skills including preparing and presenting results, findings and alternatives, and influencing management decision making.
  • Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills
