Basic Purpose

To support the administration, development and maintenance of Navy Federal’s EPM systems. Work with business units to collect requirements and develop complex finance models, reports, and other solutions which align with the strategy for EPM systems at Navy Federal.
 
Responsibilities
 
• Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of Navy Federal’s EPM Suite of applications (Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Data Relationship Management, Financial Reporting Studio and Oracle Business Intelligence)
• Maintain and enhance the Hyperion Planning applications to support the Annual Financial Planning and forecasting process
• Support development and implementation of Navy Federal Credit Union’s EPM Roadmap in support of their GL Transformation strategy
• Support consolidations, data integrations, and perform data validations from source systems to ensure source data flows downstream as required to Hyperion Planning/Essbase and Oracle Business Intelligence
• Support metadata change management across EPM systems
• Maintain Hyperion Planning application security in Shared Services for users, and active directory/native groups
• Create, maintain and update financial reports in Financial Reporting Studio, OBIEE, and SmartView
• Create, maintain and update Analysis and Dashboards in OBIEE and/or Data Visualization Desktop
• Work with ISD staff in tuning Essbase cubes and perform database optimization as needed
• Create and deliver/perform training and end-user education of the system functionality
• Troubleshoot Hyperion end user issues and coordinate issue resolution with technical support partners
• Interpret and analyze business requirements to develop driver based models, reports, web forms, etc.
• Support design, testing, and implementation of new planning applications, enhancements and modifications
• Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant industry standards, best practices, business process and technology used within related business areas to ensure compliance with policy, vendor contractual requirements, procedures, processes and standards
• Participate in cross-departmental project teams
• Perform other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications and Education Requirements
 
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Business Administration, and Pharmacy Science  or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
• Extensive experience that demonstrates proficiency and in-depth knowledge of Oracle EPM Suite (Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.4 and/or 11.2, Essbase, Data Relationship Management, Financial Reporting Studio, OBIEE, PBCS, EPBCS, OAC, Data Visualizations, FDMEE, ODI)
• Expert knowledge of data querying, reporting, forecasting, analysis and operations research, including statistical methods and modeling
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Expert skill communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
• Extensive experience in working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendors
• Advanced skill interacting with staff, management, vendors, members diplomatically & tactfully
• Expert organizational, planning and time management skills
• Expert research, analytical, and problem solving skills
 
Desired Qualifications and Education Requirements
 
• Master’s degree in a related field such as Accounting Information Systems, and Software Engineering, as well as currently pursuing PhD
• Hyperion certification
• Experience in credit union financials and/or NCUA regulations
• Working knowledge of Navy Federal's functions, philosophy, operations and organizational objectives
 
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM (Some flexibility and additional hours as needed)
