Basic Purpose

The Requirements Analyst supports the Information Technology organization and collaborates with technical and business teams to research, compile, analyze, and document system requirements for business initiatives. 

• Conduct requirements analysis and validation, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, verifiable, and that they conform to established standards
• Solve business problems by defining system solutions through interviewing stakeholders, identifying and evaluating alternatives, and presenting findings
• Elicit and document functional and non-functional requirements using interviews, analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, uses cases, scenarios, and process flows
• Represent requirements using alternative views including analysis models (diagrams), prototypes, or scenarios to facilitate communication of requirements to stakeholders
• Identify and analyze opportunities for new, changed, and/or improved processes, data, or technology providing clear picture of possible outcomes
• Manage requirements traceability, track requirements status throughout the project, and manage changes to requirements through effective application of change control processes
• Participate in third-party vendor evaluation and selection as appropriate

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, other related field, or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
• Experience as a Business Systems Analyst, IT Systems Analyst, or other related role
• Experience in translating business requirements into technical solutions leveraging research, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Ability to exercise initiative and use good judgment to make sound decisions
• Ability to work on large, complex projects and initiatives with little direction
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
• Demonstrated use of established system requirements elicitation techniques
• Experience using Visio to produce diagrams including process flows, context diagrams, etc.
• Skilled in presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives, and information clearly and concisely; both orally and written
• Organizational planning and time management skills
• Relationship building, negotiation, and facilitation skills
• Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization
• Knowledge of Agile methodology practices (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.)

Desired Qualifications
• Broad knowledge and expertise of systems used in the Financial Services industry
• Working knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies, and procedures
• Working knowledge of Navy Federal business processes and applications
• Experience using requirements management tools (e.g. Jira)
• Experience effectively applying Agile methodology practices to projects

Hours:  Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
