Basic Purpose

The Project Manager is the forefront member of a cross-functional team responsible for the successful delivery of projects aimed to reduce Security fraud losses. 
The PM must possess strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, work well with clients and internal teams, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.  The ability to independently build and maintain productive relationships with multiple stakeholders is essential, as well as strong business presence.  The Project Manager also has to have the ability to balance simultaneous projects and in a fast-paced environment.


1. Help manage projects for Security Fraud Division, from small-scale process improvements to large scale system implementations, providing project management plan, issues/ risk management, and stakeholder management. (60%) 
a. Develop and manage project plans for small-to-medium scale initiatives
b. Manage risks and issues associated to projects, escalating items appropriately and efficiently
c. Help identify relevant links, interdependencies, and synergies within Security and between Security and NFCU
d. Ensure project deliverables are met in accordance with customers' expectations, timelines & budget constraints - Moderate impact
e. Identify, communicate and resolve technical, tactical and operational project issues and risks - Considerable latitude
f. Working knowledge of contracts and their impact on projects, including RFIs, RFPs

2. Effectively manage “accounts” with wider NFCU stakeholders (30%)
a. Establish productive and collaborative relationships with peers in wider NFCU business
b. Facilitate flow of information between stakeholders in wider NFCU business and Security Fraud Division 
c. Act as catalyst for effective alignment between groups: help expose needs, interdependency, limitations, constraints, and mitigate potential silo approaches

3. Define and conduct analysis to identify, prioritize and help execute approach to align Security Division goals and processes with wider Security and NFCU organization.  Support various process improvement initiatives across Security Division. (10%)
a. Translate links within Security Division and between Security and NFCU into projects, and support project definition and design of alignment strategy with the business
b. Identify and prioritize main issues/analysis 
c. Support overall problem solving approach 
d. Syndicate analysis and incorporate feedback
e. Communicate finding of analysis
f. Regularly review processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency


* Bachelor’s degree required
* Minimum of 4 years industry experience, preferably in the consulting or financial industry
* Significant experience in leading projects and/or initiatives of small to medium scope
* Significant experience in leading, guiding and mentoring others
* Effective skill to influence, negotiate and persuade to reach agreeable exchange and positive outcomes
* Advanced skill in project management to include establishing and leading project teams; managing timelines/deadlines/resources; ensuring successful project implementation
* Effective skill in producing desired results and achieving goals and objectives
* Effective skill presenting to stakeholders & management
* Analytical skills: capacity to identify issues and underlying roots, prioritize issues, develop hypothesis for both the issue and potential solution, quickly gather data and develop recommendations
* Familiarity with workflow concepts and design: lead times, input/output relations
* Excellent writing and interpersonal skills, including clear and effective communication skills
* Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills
* Ability to work well under pressure
* Ability to handle high volume of work and multi-task a variety of assignments, as well as recognize priorities and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
* Excellent computer skills a must (including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, knowledge/experience setting up databases, tables, and presentations)
* PMP Certification desired
