The Learning & Development team is looking to fill a year-round intern position. This position works closely with the current members of the Operations and Analytics team on a variety of activities including process improvement and reporting across the Learning & Development Division. Along with collaborative initiatives, the role requires that the individual demonstrate the ability to take direction and work independently on tasks. The candidate should exhibit instincts in problem solving, attention to detail, strong oral and written communication, and the ability to learn new tasks quickly.
This individual should be proficient with applications in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Access). Knowledge of other statistical tools and programs is preferred.
Technical Skill Development
•Comfort data mining and utilizing dashboard tools to convey information
•Ability to extract information from internal sources and format data that is understood by upper leadership
•Generate presentations that include graphs and charts in Microsoft PowerPoint
•Comfortable with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, conditional formulas, etc.)
•Exploring new software/tools to better enhance the internal and external reporting practices
Critical Thinking and Business Understanding
•Analyze the impact of business decisions and their results as it relates to benchmark and industry data
•Explore industry trends in Learning & Development and explore internal areas of opportunity
•Analyze data from various sources to identify efficiencies and improvements to processes
•Identifying opportunities to streamline routine internal reporting
Communication and Managing Projects
•Explaining analytical findings in written and oral presentations to division management
•Ability to collaborate with other team members to accomplish tasks and projects
•Ability to work independently on tasks after initial assignment while executing sound decision making
•Demonstrates sound prioritization skills based on outstanding tasks and assignments
Bank Secrecy Section:
Remains cognizant of and adheres to Navy Federal policies and procedures and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
