Basic Purpose

To design, develop, implement and maintain new IT solutions, or changes/enhancements to existing solutions that align with business initiatives and corporate strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and analysis; make recommendations 
• Serve as mentor/trainer and provide guidance and assistance to team members
• Analyze, define and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating systems environment, interface with other systems, internal and external controls and output 
• Design and code application solutions; integrate changes to applications 
• Develop and maintain solution documentation
• Identifying business requirements (e.g. needs, objectives, functions, features, input and output)
• Maintain and monitor systems/applications after implementation
• Prepare test data; conduct unit and string testing; debug code and systems components
• Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions that align with business goals 
• Troubleshoot and resolve application/solution problems 
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience 
• Significant experience in working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendors
• Advanced knowledge of application development including determining, developing, testing, and implementing system requirements; designing, coding, debugging applications
• Advanced database and presentation software skills
• Advanced organizational, planning and time management skills
• Advanced skill analyzing and organizing problems or work processes for technical solutions
• Advanced skill applying innovative approaches to solve technical design issues
• Advanced skill designing and deploying new, upgraded and/or existing systems
• Advanced skill in systems analysis, workflow, or procedural analysis
• Advanced skill resolving conflicting requests and meeting changing requirements
• Advanced skill troubleshooting and resolving technical problems
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
• Effective research, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Desired - Advanced knowledge of credit union operations/processes and procedures
• Desired - Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal Project Portfolio Management (PPM) knowledge

Required (Role Family):
• Demonstrated experience in various phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and various types of methodologies (Waterfall, RUP, Agile etc.)
• Demonstrated knowledge of process modeling, workflow automation as well as experience developing and unit testing business process automation applications
• Demonstrated knowledge of BPM related standards and best practices such as BPMN 2.0
• Ability to apply sound judgment in analyzing and organizing technical solutions for BPA
• Effective research, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Required (Individual Role):
• Demonstrated technical knowledge and expertise in the BPM discipline
• Demonstrated expertise & experience in BPMN 2.0 & BPM technologies
• Demonstrated experience working on large BPM projects or programs of high complexity, or equivalent relevant work experience
• Ability to independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and relates fields
• Demonstrated experience of working on complex and high impact BPM projects using one or more of the prevalent BPM technology platforms in the industry
• Ability to model workflows and business processes to develop, test, and implement BPM applications based on them
• Ability to assist management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor
• Demonstrated ability to apply best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services
• Advanced degree in a related field
• Formal training/certification in information technology, computer science or related field
• Extensive experience in application/systems analysis, workflow or procedural analysis
• Strong planning, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
• Strong research, analytical, and problem solving skills

Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM
