Basic Purpose

To scan and index original mortgage records into Navy Federal database system(s). Under immediate supervision, maintain and protect critical documents per Navy Federal guidelines and in accordance with state/federal regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accuracy of all data entered/stored in database systems 
• Monitor document image quality; ensure compliance with operational and regulatory record keeping requirements 
• File original mortgage documents in terminal digit order
• Review mortgage document requests; release to members, Navy Federal staff and attorneys, as appropriate
• Maintain and stock essential materials and supplies
• Track and update action items in database(s)
• Transport mortgage documents to/from designated areas
• Operate and maintain standard office equipment
• Receive incoming phone calls from internal/external customers
• Performs other duties as assigned or appropriate

Qualifications:

• Basic clerical, technical or administrative skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Basic organizational, planning and time management skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
• Basic skill reviewing documents for errors, inconsistencies or missing information
• Basic skill performing mathematical calculations and working accurately with numbers
• Basic skill interpreting and applying oral and written instructions
• Basic word processing and spreadsheet software skills
• Desired – Familiarity with NFCU products, services, programs, policies and procedures 

Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM
