Basic Purpose

To optimize the performance of business operations by analyzing current and predicting future performance, with primary focus on credit and debit card fraud prevention.


1. Identify and analyze financial and operational issues.  Candidate should possess business knowledge to understand the most relevant operational and performance issues, including product specific and industry knowledge.

2.  Apply analytical techniques to understand performance drivers and operational issues.  Candidate should be able to access and structure data and then perform appropriate qualitative and quantitative analysis using analytical techniques, tools, and models.

3. Synthesize results of analyses, develop and make recommendations, and present results.  Candidate should be able to take analytical findings and business knowledge and formulate policy recommendations and alternatives.  Findings must be adapted to best communicate the information to relevant senior managers.


Level III
• Bachelors or Advanced Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or the equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
• Experience in Financial Services, with knowledge of credit and debit card products and operations, and preferred experience in fraud analytics.
• In-depth knowledge of data querying, reporting, forecasting, analysis and operations research, including sophisticated statistical methods and modeling.
• Demonstrated experience identifying relevant analytical problems, determining appropriate diagnostic methods, and solving unique and complex issues/problems.
