Basic Purpose

Work with experts across the enterprise to identify and prioritize development of new and existing technology products. Contribute to the technology product vision and delivery, feature prioritization, product operations, and on-going product management. Partner with different business units and technology partners to evaluate and articulate the value/business proposition of new products. Work is performed under limited supervision.


• Support business owners in gathering customer and market data; conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to identify new features, changes, and other opportunities
• Assist business product owners in developing product strategy and roadmap
• Manage updates to the technology product roadmap by facilitating regular discussions regarding business capabilities, timing and prioritization
• Monitor technology product performance, product delivery, product support, and changes to technology solutions supporting the technology product to identify new features, changes, and opportunities to include in the future outlook and roadmap for the technology product
• Manage and monitor key performance indicators to ensure success across all technology products in portfolio
• Assist business product owners in identifying user/customer needs, setting technology product scope, identifying product key performance indicators, and aligning new technology products to the technology product taxonomy
• Assist business product owners in prioritizing and sequencing epics/features within the technology product roadmap, and in creating Lean Agile business cases representing epics/features prioritized from the portfolio backlog
• Assist business product owner or department project leads in completing forms and questionnaires required when submitting idea, enhancement and change proposals to the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office
• Monitor and communicate progress of idea, enhancement and change submissions to ensure timely handling and progress through the enterprise decision making process
• Ensure communication and disposition of exceptions, rejections, constraints, and requests for additional information
• Work with business stakeholders, technology product managers, and technology product delivery teams to maintain awareness, approval, and consensus regarding changes and decision making through planning and delivery
• Maintain awareness of current operating and delivery performance including status and impact of ongoing work
• Establish communication across delivery teams and portfolio stakeholders regarding schedule, dependencies, decisions, and domain level considerations
• Provide timely recommendations to executive leadership, portfolio teams, support organizations, and other stakeholders
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and other members of the technology product delivery team in design sessions and other technical forums; drive consensus and resolve conflicts through facilitation and communication
• Design and support a structured methodology/approach and lead organizational change to support operations for the successful adoption of changes
• Support the design, development, delivery, and management of communications as part of change management
• Invest time researching and participating in industry recommended development and training opportunities in support of Technology Product Management
• Determine the risk of change and provide actionable guidelines on reducing the impact, to include resistance in adopting the change at the user, process, and technology level
• Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs
• Consult with and coach project teams, supervisors/managers, and senior leadership, presenting solutions and/or recommendations with structure and clear objectives
• Facilitate feedback loop with stakeholders monitor change progress and measure success
• Contribute to and support the marketing strategies to support new team brand
• Responsible for managing a portfolio of products, maintaining environmental awareness, seeking opportunities to engage with teams outside of assigned portfolio and contribute to strategic discussions in support of practice maturity model
• Build an individual knowledge action plan to improve level of technical fluency, industry awareness, and business acumen
• Build and maintain relationships with lines of business, team members, management, key stakeholders and/or external contacts (e.g., vendors, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with Navy Federal ISD standards, practices and processes
• Coach and mentor Product Portfolio Managers
• Perform other duties as assigned


• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field, or the equivalent
• combination of education, training, and experience
• Significant experience in building client relationships, advising business and technology leadership, and managing teams and/or engagements in the financial services industry or consulting environment
• Demonstrated track record of successfully identifying and launching new technology products
• Ability to develop process flows and identifying challenges and opportunities in business processes
• Experience in Journey Map facilitation
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and leading projects
• Significant experience working in a customer focused Technology Service environment
• Significant experience in delivering presentations to virtual and in person teams
• Advanced skill influencing, negotiating and persuading to reach agreeable exchange and positive outcomes
• Advanced problem solving, collaboration, critical thinking, team building, and presentation skills
• Advanced relationship building, negotiation and facilitation skills

• Advanced skill in the use of Microsoft Office Products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, etc.)

Desired Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
• Experience with Agile initiatives - transforming experience 
• Experience working at the Enterprise/strategic level

Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report on-site 4-16 days each month. The number of days reporting on-site will ultimately be determined by the employee's leadership and business unit needs. You will learn more throughout the hiring and on boarding process.

Salary Range: $109,900 to $187,900 Annual
